THEORY COURSE CONTENT (2 HOURS):

• Introduction
• Elements of fire
• Fire extinguishers (Types)
• Hazards
• Types of vehicle fire (Electrical, Combustion &Electrostatic build up)
• Reducing risk
• Evacuation

PRACTICAL SESSION (1 HOUR):
 

• Health warning (asthma pregnancy etc)
• Practical exercise in vehicle with theatre smoke
• Volunteer driver
• Volunteer passenger assistant
• Role play (by passengers)

Who should attend and what are the benefits?

Specialised Transport Advisory Network recommend that;
All minibus drivers and passenger assistants should attend. They will benefit by understanding their crucial role and therefore be more confident in applying the procedures in an emergency situation.

 A CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE AND HANDOUTS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR EACH PARTICIPANT ON COMPLETION OF COURSE
