THEORY COURSE CONTENT (2 HOURS):

Introduction
Elements of fire
Fire extinguishers (Types)
Hazards
Types of vehicle fire (Electrical, Combustion &Electrostatic build up)
Reducing risk
Evacuation

PRACTICAL SESSION (1 HOUR):

Health warning (asthma pregnancy etc)
Practical exercise in vehicle with theatre smoke
Volunteer driver
Volunteer passenger assistant
Role play (by passengers)

Who should attend and what are the benefits?
All minibus drivers and passenger assistants should attend. They will benefit by understanding their crucial role and therefore be more confident in applying the procedures in an emergency situation.
A certificate of attendance and handouts will be provided for each participant on completion of course.

A CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE AND HANDOUTS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR EACH PARTICIPANT ON COMPLETION OF COURSE
